Environmental Planning and Evaluation Section performs administrative functions in support of the goals and objectives of Environmental Health. This section is headed by an Environmental Health Services Manager who also takes on the role of Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman assists citizens and various industry constituents in resolving complex and sensitive complaints, problems, and disagreements within the jurisdiction of the Division. The Ombudsman accomplishes resolution through unbiased fact finding, investigating, and researching in
a fair and independent manner. These findings may
effect changes in the organization that increase
effectiveness, efficiency, and enhance the overall
delivery of services. The Ombudsman intervenes to ensure
that the organization’s strategic goals are attained
through quality improvement, productivity, risk
management, communication, effective dissemination of
information, and the satisfaction of legislative mandates.
