District Environmental Services is also responsible for ensuring that the following entities are inspected, and conform to all applicable laws:
- Theaters and public gathering places.
- Coin-operated laundries.
- Public schools (on a complaint basis).
- Vacant lots, alleys, and community public health concerns and nuisances.
