The mission of the Staff Development is to provide training in Environmental
Health to staff and to provide training support to Environmental Health
Administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SERVICES
- Coordinate the orientation and training of all new employees and ensure that the training objectives and mandated State requirements are met and approved.
- Coordinate all interviewing of applicants for EHS I and II positions with Human Resources.
- Recruit highly qualified applicants, assist Human Resources and report directly to the Deputy Environmental Health Officer in the selection of new employees.
- Develop and coordinate the Integrated Master Training Plan and Internship Program for Environmental Health.
- Develop a Management/Supervisory Training Program.
- Implement a Career Development Plan/Course for employees.
